Leckhampton Local History Society (LLHS) is a community organisation dedicated to researching, preserving, and sharing the history of Leckhampton, a historic village which is now a suburb of Cheltenham in Gloucestershire. Founded in 1992, we organise regular talks and occasional walks and other events, and undertake research projects to encourage interest in local heritage. We publish newsletters and books on topics ranging from village life and historic buildings to wartime experiences and local industries. The Society also maintains archives, historic maps, and family history resources, helping residents and visitors to gain a better understanding of Leckhampton’s rich past and its changing landscape.
LLHS is a member of the British Association for Local History and the Gloucestershire Local History Association and is affiliated to the Cheltenham Arts Council.
