SUMMARY:Practical Fine Art for Children: Introduction to Acrylic Painting
DESCRIPTION:For keen young artists of all levels. The perfect complement to school art lessons\, whether studying at primary or GCSE level. Practical\, how-to skills: observational drawing techniques\, multi-media exploration\, adventures in colour and more. There is plenty of time for one-to-one support in these small groups too. \nIntroduction to Acrylic Painting: Colour\, Texture\, and Expression\nA practical course introducing the core techniques of acrylic painting. Students will learn\nhow to use colour\, layering\, and texture to create expressive and visually dynamic paintings.\nThe course encourages experimentation with both realism and abstraction. \nLearning Outcomes:\nBy the end of the course\, students will be able to:\n“¢ Understand acrylic painting materials and mixing techniques.\n“¢ Apply layering\, glazing\, and blending methods.\n“¢ Use colour theory to create harmony and contrast.\n“¢ Develop composition and visual balance in a painting.\n“¢ Complete an original acrylic artwork from concept to finish \nAbout Kitty McLeod\nKitty McLeod trained at Ravensbourne University London and the University of Gloucestershire. She has been teaching art and creative workshops\, organising events\, parties\, and face painting with children and adults of all ages nationally since 2010. She has experience in delivering fine art\, illustration\, printmaking\, animation and life drawing classes. DESCRIPTION:Join Cheltenham Improvisers Orchestra for their first ever appearance at Cheltenham Music Festival. The orchestra will perform original pieces led by various soloists and players in the group including: \nMicrotonal Studies (for Strings and Orchestra) \nEccentric Conduction Piece \nSine Waves and Shepard Tones \nCheltenham Improvisers Orchestra \nCheltenham Improvisers Orchestra is a community group enabling musicians and performance artists from a range of different backgrounds. The group was established to explore a collaborative space for improvisation and is open to anyone regardless of their ability or education. The group is led by award winning musician Chris Cundy with regular live performances taking place at Cheltenham Festivals.
