Plenty of time for one-to-one support in these small groups too. \nIntroduction to Watercolour\nA practical and creative introduction to watercolour painting\, designed for beginners to\nexplore essential techniques\, materials\, and colour theory. Students will learn how to control\nwater and pigment while developing confidence in painting expressive studies. \nLearning Outcomes:\n• Understand and prepare essential watercolour materials.\n• Understand foundation colour theory\, mix and layer colours with confidence.\n• Apply key techniques such as wet-on-wet\, wet-on-dry\, and glazing.\n• Explore experimental watercolour methods.\n• Use tone\, contrast\, and texture effectively.\n• Complete a watercolour composition. \nAbout Kitty McLeod\nThe tutor\, Kitty McLeod\, of Promising Artists\, trained at Ravensbourne University London and the University of Gloucestershire. She has been teaching art and creative workshops with children and adults of all ages nationally since 2010. She has experience in delivering fine art drawing & painting\, illustration\, printmaking\, animation and life drawing classes. DESCRIPTION:Cheltenham Improvisers Orchestra \nCheltenham Improvisers Orchestra is a community group enabling musicians and performance artists from a range of different backgrounds. The group was established to explore a collaborative space for improvisation and is open to anyone regardless of their ability or education. The group is led by award winning musician Chris Cundy with regular live performances taking place at Cheltenham Festivals. \n\n\n\nThese workshops explore exercises in creating surprise and spontaneity\, conducting with visual pathways into communal music-making\, exploring deep listening\, and embracing new ways of performing music in public spaces. \nFree on every first and third Wednesday of the month\, 6-8PM.
